Leapfrog shared tools with an enthusiastic group in a session organized by Ben Pearson at Healthwatch BwD. Healthwatch BwD is about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of local services. The session looked at different tools that can be used to bring people of all ages together to exchange ideas and opinions such as Storyboard Contract, Visual Voice and Target Control. The group hope to use these tools to enhance engagement with those seldom heard in Blackburn with Darwen.
Attendees where made up of staff, volunteers, Darwen Vale PATH Manager & Blackburn Youth Zone staff. Volunteers came up with some great ideas about how how they can use the tools in upcoming projects and were all keen to get started. They will be using two of the tools at Darwen Vale Super Learning Day next week in workshops about Mental Health, Relationships & Sexuality and look forward to the responses of young people participating. Leapfrog and Healthwatch are organizing another session to share the tools with young people in Darwen in the near future.
