The consultation without words short project will involve intensive design work fom the 10 people working on the Leapfrog project from both Lancaster and Glasgow. It will also involve a creative workshop on Tuesday 3rd February with an invited range of external parents who are looking for practical assistance in developing new approaches to consultation that does not rely on participants writing.
The week long project will culminate in the demonstration of the tools we design in an interactive demonstration event on the morning of Friday 6th February. Attendees of this event will have the opportunity to take these tools away with them for their own use. We will be following up with these attendees to evaluate the tools we have created but also to help them adapt the tools to better fit their particular needs.
Leapfrog is a 3 year project led by ImaginationLancaster to explore how we can develop more effective, inclusive and creative tools to help consultation. We are starting this project with a week long gathering in ImaginationLancaster where we will firstly establish a common understanding of our research objectives.
We will be putting these intentions into practice throughout the week by collaborating together on a real project to design new tools for non-written consultation. This week long project will involve the PhDs and Research Associates in Leapfrog but also the academics involved from both Imagination and Lancaster. This group of academics includes experts in evaluation, digital tool design, engagement and social media.
We will be presenting our ideas as they progress through the week on this website which you will see is very much waiting for content to be added. You can see how quickly this grows in the coming weeks here.
