Keep dispersed teams on the same page
Four tools, selected by Alison Barker (HR Assistant, Lancaster City Council), to help teams communicate better when they can’t be with each other every day. The tools offer easy-to-use ways to engage a team, sharing and discussing challenges, ideas and feedback. The #TeamTalk tools are all about 2‑way communication, allowing team members to understand each other’s perspectives, and to understand how their team relates to the larger organisation.
Any ideas cards – these would be available online and within the offices for staff to write their ideas knowing that they would be sent straight to their manager.
Comms Stretcher – this would be used in team meetings to create new ideas and involve all in the task.
The Small Things – these would be used similarly to the Any Ideas Cards. These will help to remove any conflict that might occur over the little things to allow the team to concentrate on the bigger things.
Progress Tools – Time to show off about what the team has done, remembering the achievements will motivate the team to continue to produce more successes.
